Boitumelo Foundation donated pula P 100,000 to Tsogang Trust. Tsogang Trust was founded as a small neighborhood support group in 2001, which cared and encouraged people in the community living with HIV and /or AIDS. Situated in Mogoditshane village in Botswana it has grown into a community organization affiliated with the Botswana Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS (BONEPWA) in 2005, operating as an HIV and AIDS support group under the name of Tsogang Support Group (TSG), dealing with all the members of the community infected or affected by HIV and AIDS (i.e. children, youth and adults). Through its work, the need to also to reach out to youth, orphan and vulnerable children (OVCs) and their families was recognized. TSG opened its doors to these members of the community, assisting them and their families / guardians in whichever way needed and possible. In February 2008, TSG became registered and officially recognized as Tsogang Trust (TT). The organization provides Home based care to empower and support people living with HIV and Aids (PLWHA) in the community, the principle being to reduce the current strain on public facilities such as hospitals while leveraging off the care received from families, relatives and friends at home.
