The Ministry of Basic Education was gifted 813 solar lamps with a value of over P150K in March 2017. The lamps were to be distributed to Form 3 and Form 5 students to aid them with studying for their exams. Several attempts to have these collected and distributed to targeted recipients have been unsuccessful to-date. Recently the Ministry’s new partnership Manager, Mr Loeto, reconfirmed their interest in the lamps and has committed to ensuring that they are collected and distributed before the end of the year.
